Fusion Plasma Treatments

From the makers of Plasma Pen, Roseneath Skin Clinic is excited to offer their latest innovation in plasma treatments in Guernsey. The Fusion Glow harnesses the power of plasma technology, combined with argon gas to deliver outstanding results with far less downtime or side effects.

The regenerative power of plasma has been recognized for decades. The European Wound Management Association (EWMA 2024) concluded that cold plasma is a promising advanced therapy for wound healing, has strong anti-microbial effects and the potential to support tissue regeneration. Non-surgical skin rejuvenation in Guernsey now benefits from this anti-aging treatment.

What can it treat?

Warm plasma penetrates deep into the dermis of the skin, tightening, resurfacing and remodeling the skin. Traditionally plasma pen was dubbed the ‘non-surgical eyelid lift’- and results around the eye area are still especially outstanding. However, any area of the face or body can be targeted for skin tightening now with much less downtime.

  • Eyelid or brow lift (upper and lower).
  • Lines and wrinkles.
  • Lower facial skin lifting and tightening.
  • Neck lift and rejuvenation.
  • Loose skin on arms, tummy, hands.
  • Enlarged pores and poor texture.

Cold plasma is all about wound healing, calming inflammation and improvement in compromised skin.

  • Eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis.
  • Wound healing from injury or operations, reducing scarring and speeding up recovery.
  • Acne, rosacea and inflammatory skin conditions, especially useful in darker skin on the Fitzpatrick scale where laser may not be suitable.
  • Fungal nail infections.

Scalp treatment with cold plasma offers another solution for hair restoration. Cold plasma penetrates to the epidermis and stimulates hair follicles, improves the scalp environment, enhances blood supply and activates dermal papilla cells – all of which encourage new hair growth.

    How does it work?

The Fusion Glow has a variety of functions to address numerous skin concerns tailored to the individual. There are two main types of plasma:

Warm plasma – Creates precise, controlled micro-injuries that activate fibroblasts, stimulating collagen and elastin. This regenerative healing process leads to smoother, tighter, firmer, more lifted skin. A regenerative approach means:

    • Works with your skin’s biology, activating your natural healing response.
    • Rebuilds collagen and elastin in a healthy, organised way.
    • Strengthens the skin’s foundation.
    • Avoids excessive inflammation or thermal damage.
    • Tightens without compromising long-term integrity.
Cold plasma – Penetrates to the dermal-epidermal junction, activating fibroblasts, reducing bacterial load and calming sensitive skin. Also effective for hair restoration, plasma can stimulate hair follicles and improve scalp health to reduce thinning and encourage thicker, stronger hair.

    Am I suitable?

At Roseneath Skin Clinic, we begin with a detailed consultation to ascertain your medical history, suitability and treatment goals, ensure you are fully informed of the most appropriate options available in Guernsey. The Fusion Glow offers plasma skin tightening suitable for all skin types and Fitzpatrick categories. Very few people are not suitable for plasma treatment, and this will be discussed during the consultation process.

    Does it hurt?

Cold plasma is extremely well tolerated with a mild warmth being the most common sensation.

Warm plasma generates more heat to stimulate lifting and tightening. Typically numbing cream is applied, treatment is quick and generally well tolerated.

What can I expect after treatment?

    Cold plasma:
Mild redness, tingling, or warmth for a few hours to a day. Occasional tightness, dryness or itching may occur, indicating your body’s healing response.

    Warm plasma:

Redness is likely for 2-4 days post treatment, mild swelling (especially around the eyes) and possible itching. Downtime is significantly lower than traditional plasma pen treatments thanks to the argon gas, avoiding the formation of micro-crusting.

Often a course of treatments is recommended, usually a course of 3 for warm plasma. Cold plasma varies depending on the condition being treated. Results may appear within weeks, with collagen stimulation continuing for 6-12 weeks. After treatment you will be given the relevant post-treatment instructions, such as:

    • Keep skin clean and hydrated with nourishing products.
    • Apply SPF50 daily.
    • Avoid heat or intense exercise on the day of treatment.
